Library Update

To our library patrons,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your patience and support during the last few months.  I know it has been a difficult time for everyone and we have missed being able to provide the same library services and programs that we have offered our community for years.

With the release of Healthy at Work guidelines for educational and cultural guidelines, we are again reevaluating what is the best course of action we can take for the health and safety of our patrons and employees while trying to return to a more normal way of providing services. We want to remind you that all guidelines are temporary and subject to change and if state orders change, we may have to make further changes.

For the week of June 8, we will be continuing curbside pickup at the library on Tuesdays from 9 am to 1 pm, Thursdays from 1 pm to 5 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.  Please call the library at 859-792-3424 or email us at to reserve items and schedule an appointment to pick up.

You may return items to either of our book drops.  Items are quarantined for 3 days and will not be checked in until they are removed from quarantine.  You will not accrue fines during this period.

And you may register for Summer Reading by downloading the ReaderZone app and using our code, fe588.  We also have a Facebook group, Garrard County Public Library Summer Reading 2020 to access online programs.  Please ask to join this group to enjoy these awesome programs!

Once again, I want to thank all of you for your patience as we try to navigate our new normal and plan to provide services in the safest way possible for both the staff and our patrons.
