Summer Reading 2021

Summer Reading has started at the Garrard County Public Library.  We have planned lots of fun activities to help you keep your kids (and adults) reading this summer!  Track your reading using the Reader Zone app, available for IOS and Android.  No more lost paper logs and you can keep track of the whole family in one easy app.  Register for Summer Reading by going to or checking our Facebook page.  Join our community scavenger hunt.  Starting June 7, participating local businesses will display a book cover in their window or shop.  Take a picture of the sign or write down the title.  Completed scavenger hunts will be entered to win a collection of books for the whole family at the end of Summer Reading.  Pick up your scavenger hunt sheets at the library or print a copy from Facebook.    We will also have take home craft kits for all ages and virtual activities all summer long.  Check out Facebook or Instagram account for more information about upcoming activities and crafts.  Call the library at 859-792-3424 for more information or visit our website at  Check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
